Yep, we gave away a bike!
Yep, you read it right. The Concours Owners Group gave away a motorcycle. Well, there were stipulations, but it was awarded to one lucky person at the 2010 National Rally in Tomah, Wisconsin.
What she is: My "cherry" 1986, affectionately known to me as "Midnight". There are approximately 70,000 miles on her so she's just getting broken in. She's taken the wife and I through over 20 states since I purchased her in 2004. Until I unceremoniously dumped her in my back yard when I purchased new one in 2005. Yeah, I feel bad about it.
I'm here to repent for those sins again her by offering her up to a group of folks that will love her and give her the home she surely deserves. The profits from Millerized peg sales have purchased a lot of "new" parts for her, so with your purchase you're helping with the rebuild. Go to the Concours Owners Group website for more information. You'll have to be a member to read about it, but the jist is that you will be getting new members to join. With each new member you add to COG, you get a chance to win. The more members, the more chances. Not a bad deal, is it?
Yeah, she looks a little rough right now, but there's a bright future ahead for her. Within the walls of the Millerized Skunkwerx this winter, she'll be brought back to life. She'll be taken down to bare frame, blasted and done up in one-of-a-kind colors. The bodywork will get stripped down and be dressed in another one-of-a-kind color.
Stay tuned to millerized.com over the next few months as we return this diamond in the rough back into the world class sport-tourer we all know she is.
Webcam below will highlight the Millerized garage, specifically the COG Give-Away bike during it's de and re- construction. The occasional glare could be the top of my head or a fire in the shop. Either are possible!
